Coca-Cola Taps Monster Energy Alum for North America Leadership Role

The Coca-Cola Company has announced that Rob Gehring will assume the role of president of its North America operating unit, effective December 1, 2026. He succeeds John Murphy, who served as interim leader since August 1, 2026, and continues to hold the position of president and CFO.

Gehring's appointment comes after his recent success at Monster Energy, where he oversaw operations across the Americas and the Caribbean. He brings a focus on growth initiatives and commercial strategy that will drive Coca-Cola's core North American business forward.

Coca-Cola is the world's largest nonalcoholic beverage company, operating in over 200 countries and territories with a diverse portfolio of iconic brands including Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, as well as water, sports, coffee, tea, juice, and plant-based beverages. The company maintains a dominant position through its concentrate manufacturing and global bottling partnerships.
