Nutritionist Boticaria García has weighed in on the healthiness of two popular beverages: Coca-Cola Zero and 0.0% beer.

In a video posted to TikTok, García analyzed the differences between the two drinks, stating that while Coke Zero contains no calories or sugar, it does contain sweeteners that can alter the microbiota and make consumers crave more sugary foods.

The toasted nonalcoholic beer, on the other hand, contains sugar and calories equivalent to two sugar cubes per can, which is half the recommended daily amount for a sedentary woman of García's age. She notes that consuming two cans would account for almost 10% of her daily calorie intake.

García emphasizes that neither drink is particularly healthy, but an occasional treat won't cause harm. However, she cautions against relying on supposed health benefits, such as antioxidants in beer, and instead advises focusing on a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables.
