Comedy Director Jamie Lane Joins Airfoil for Canadian Representation
Airfoil has added London-based comedy director Jamie Lane to its roster for Canadian representation. With over 20 years of experience, Lane is known for his performance-led comedy, naturalistic casting, and keen insight into human behavior. His work blends cinematic craft with grounded humor, focusing on characters and moments that feel authentic and entertaining.
Lane has directed campaigns for major agencies like Leo Burnett, Havas, and AMV BBDO, working with brands such as McDonald’s, Cathay Pacific, Visa, and BMW. His recent projects include spots for iD Mobile, Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut, and Direct Line. His commercial reel also features notable work for brands like Xiaomi and Highmark Health.
David Kalinauskas, founder and executive producer at Airfoil, praised Lane’s ability to create natural, unforced comedy. “His work is built on real people, precise casting, and beautifully observed performances,” Kalinauskas said. “He can make a brand film feel cinematic, funny, and completely human.”
Lane’s career has taken him across Europe, the US, Asia, and Africa, and he has won two Cannes Lions for the Skcin campaign. He expressed enthusiasm about joining Airfoil, noting that the company aligns with his approach to comedy and character-driven storytelling. “Airfoil felt like the right home for the next chapter of my work in Canada,” Lane said.
