Cosmax Target Price Rises as Global Shopping Season Boosts Export Prospects
Korea Investment & Securities has raised its target price for Cosmax (192820.KS) from ₩300,000 to ₩340,000 (approximately $250). The brokerage cited abundant earnings growth catalysts as South Korean cosmetics exports continue their record-breaking run ahead of the global shopping season.
The analyst estimated that Cosmax's third-quarter consolidated revenue will rise 34.5% year-over-year to ₩787.7 billion (approximately $568.4 million), with operating profit up 53.4% to ₩65.6 billion (approximately $47.3 million).
Despite headwinds from a stronger won and rising logistics costs, South Korean cosmetics exports have repeatedly set all-time records since entering the second half of the year.
The global shopping season is expected to support fourth-quarter results, with Walmart's 'Deal Days', Amazon's 'Prime Day', Target's 'Circle Deal Days', Alibaba's Singles' Day, and Black Friday and Cyber Monday driving sales.
