Coultreon Taps Prista Charuworn as New Chief Medical Officer Amid Ongoing Clinical Development
Coultreon Biopharma has appointed Prista Charuworn, MD as its new Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Charuworn brings extensive experience in immunology drug development to her new role, having completed fellowships at Stanford and worked at Gilead, AstraZeneca, Amgen, and Zai Lab.
As Global Head of Neuroscience and Immunology at Zai Lab, Dr. Charuworn led the development of numerous drugs, including treatments for inflammatory bowel disease and dermatologic indications.
Coultreon's lead program, COL-5671, is a highly selective SIK3 inhibitor in clinical development for autoimmune diseases. Dr. Charuworn expressed her enthusiasm about joining Coultreon at this pivotal time, citing the promising data from a recently completed first-in-human study of COL-5671.
