Cramer: Software Stocks Prove AI Fears Were Overhyped
Jim Cramer, a well-known financial analyst, stated that investors who bet on AI destroying software stocks 'blew up' during the third quarter. Instead of disrupting the sector, enterprise software experienced a resurgence in performance. Software stocks rebounded sharply from an AI-driven sell-off earlier this year.
Salesforce surged 46% in the third quarter due to new AI tool rollouts and investors' confidence that AI could drive growth rather than be an obstacle for the business. Cramer noted that Salesforce introduced Claudeforce, a plugin that lets users utilize Anthropic's Claude AI to access data stored in Salesforce.
Veeva Systems Inc. soared 60% in the quarter. 'When the displacement didn’t happen, those betting against it blew up, and the whole group came running back,' said Cramer on the Mad Money show.
