CrowdComms Bolsters North American Presence with Key Appointments

CrowdComms, a company that provides event management and communication solutions, has appointed Stefano Rocca as its new director of business development for North America. This move is part of the company's efforts to strengthen its presence in the region. Rocca will work closely with senior vice president Brad Langley to drive business development and build new relationships across the North American market.

CrowdComms has been expanding its operations in the US, supporting major clients such as Deloitte, Coca-Cola, Radisson Hotels, American Express, and Nestlé. Rocca joins CrowdComms from Eventboost, where he led business development across North, Central, and South America from his base in New York.

Meanwhile, Amex GBT has appointed Michael Esquibel as its new chief technology officer. Esquibel has been with the company for eight years and previously served as senior vice president of technology and platform engineering. In his new role, he will help lead Amex GBT's enterprise-wide technology and AI strategy.

Additionally, WestJet and Tim Hortons have announced a new partnership that will see Tim Hortons' signature coffee experience available on WestJet flights starting November 30. The two companies also plan to launch a rewards program in 2027, allowing customers to earn WestJet points on eligible Tim Hortons purchases.

Ottawa Tourism and Outaouais Tourism are reporting strong results across Canada's National Capital Region, with hotel room demand increasing 3% year-over-year and hotel occupancy slightly up compared to summer 2025. The region's unique combination of two complementary destinations, a busy calendar of major events, Ottawa's bicentennial celebrations, and exceptional value for travelers helped drive visitation throughout the summer season.

The Hazelton Hotel in Toronto has earned the prestigious AAA Five Diamond designation, making it the only hotel in Canada to receive this honor this year. The hotel is a 77-key, family-owned boutique hotel designed by Yabu Pushelberg and distinguished by its large guest rooms and suites, each with a private terrace or Juliet balcony.
