Crown Castle's CEO Chris Hillabrant outlined the company's new phase of focus on organic growth, efficiency, and disciplined capital allocation during a recent Goldman Sachs conference. The company has shifted its attention from last year's sale of its small cell and fiber business, with an aim to maximize organic growth through investment in systems and processes.

Hillabrant emphasized that the company wants to remain a best-in-class tower operator while running a simpler business. He highlighted the importance of preserving investment-grade ratings and keeping leverage between 6.0x and 6.5x, with annual capital spending expected to be $100 million to $200 million.

Crown Castle is also focused on ground lease ownership, aiming to close the gap with best-in-class levels over time through accretive transactions. The company currently maintains total debt of $23.4 billion and generates a free cash flow yield of 7%, providing financial flexibility for strategic investments.
