Crusoe Builds Google's Armstrong County Data Center Campus on Wind Power

Crusoe, a company specializing in AI factories, has been named as the developer of Google's Armstrong County data center campus in Texas. The campus is part of Crusoe's efforts to build data centers directly at the source of abundant and low-cost energy.

The campus connects directly to Serena's Goodnight 1 wind farm, which generates 265.5 MW of power. Surplus power from the wind farms will be fed back into the grid, aligning with Crusoe's goal of promoting clean and affordable energy in the region.

Crusoe has implemented a closed-loop liquid cooling system to minimize water consumption at the campus, which is limited to domestic uses such as kitchens. The company has not disclosed the IT capacity that the campus will support or the investment it intends to make in the development.
