D23 Event to Unveil Disney's Future Attractions on Streaming Platform
Disney fans will get an exclusive look at upcoming theme park attractions during Saturday night's D23 event, 'Horizons: A Carousel of Progress'. The session, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and featuring a team of Walt Disney Co. executives and Imagineers, will be broadcast on the Disney+ streaming platform at 10 p.m.
The event promises to deliver project updates, first looks at new artwork and renderings, behind-the-scenes stories, creative insights, and a closer look at how some of Disney's most ambitious projects are progressing. According to a post on the official Disney Parks Blog, fans can expect 'a closer look at the work, collaboration, and imagination of many of the experiences in development that Disney fans are eagerly following.'
This year's D23 event marks a tradition of dramatic announcements for future attractions. In 2015, CEO Bob Iger revealed plans for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, while in 2017, Disney shared details about replacing the Great Movie Ride with Runaway Railway and introducing new rides at Epcot.
