Diageo Brings Consumer Goods Expertise with Keith Appointment

Diageo has appointed R. Alexandra 'Alex' Keith as a non-executive director to its board, bringing over 35 years of international consumer goods experience.

Keith is currently serving as a non-executive director at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc (NYSE:TMO, XETRA:TN8) and will join Diageo's Remuneration and Nomination Committees on November 5th, 2026, subject to shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting.

Keith has extensive leadership experience across North America, Europe, and Asia, with a background covering general management, consumer products, brand development, supply chain, and enterprise leadership. She previously served as chief executive of Procter & Gamble's Beauty business, where she led growth initiatives spanning innovation, acquisitions, portfolio development, and organisational transformation.

Diageo chair Sir John Manzoni highlighted Keith's recent experience in consumer goods, including leading and transforming branded businesses, which will add relevant expertise to the board. He noted that her experience shaping portfolios around consumer trends will support Diageo's efforts to strengthen its business.
