Dimon Leads Industry Effort to Tackle Growing AI Risks

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon is sounding the alarm on AI risks, calling on corporate leaders to join an industry group to address the growing threats posed by advanced artificial intelligence systems.

The effort, which started in July and has already enlisted over 40 companies from various sectors, aims to develop a shared understanding of how AI is being used, its potential risks, and necessary safeguards.

JPMorgan helped found the Alliance for Critical Infrastructure (ACI), an organization that coordinates cross-sector resilience planning, shares information, and responds to critical infrastructure threats.

The ACI team has been refocusing on AI-related issues and building up the effort, with Dimon leading the charge. He has personally reached out to CEOs of other large and major regional banks and IT companies to enlist their support.
