Dimon Set to Attend State Dinner with Trump and Xi
JPMorgan Chase's Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon is set to attend a state dinner hosted by President Donald Trump for Chinese leader Xi Jinping next week, according to a media report. The event will take place in Washington on September 24.
Dimon will join other prominent executives, including Nvidia's Jensen Huang and OpenAI's Sam Altman, at the dinner.
JPMorgan Chase has been operating in China for over a century, with its first branch opening in 1921. In 2020, the bank received approval from the China Securities Regulatory Commission to increase its stake in J.P. Morgan Futures Company Limited to 100%.
