Dimon Warns Inflation Fight Not Over Amid Fed Rate Hike
JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon says the fight against inflation is not over yet. Despite the Federal Reserve's recent rate hike, Dimon remains concerned that inflation could persist due to various structural pressures.
He pointed to large government budget deficits and a significant increase in investment flowing into artificial intelligence infrastructure as factors keeping demand for capital elevated. This, he believes, could keep interest rates higher than markets currently expect.
'I'm sympathetic to those who pay a higher price, but it's not clear to me it's over yet,' Dimon said in an interview with Yahoo Finance. 'It's not clear to me we've slayed inflation.'
