JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon is spearheading a new cross-industry effort to address risks associated with artificial intelligence (AI), according to two sources familiar with the matter.

The initiative, which is being expanded from the Alliance for Critical Infrastructure (ACI), aims to develop a shared understanding of how AI is being used, the risks it poses, and the necessary safeguards.

Dimon has personally reached out to CEOs of other large banks and IT companies to enlist their participation in the effort, which currently includes more than 40 companies from various sectors such as financial services, energy, and utilities.
