Andrew Guest, the showrunner of Marvel's Wonder Man series, has broken his silence regarding the cancellation of Season 2. In a TikTok video, Guest clarified that the cancellation was not a marketing stunt and that there is no movie in the works. He stated that scheduling was never an issue for Destin Daniel Cretton or any other attached individuals.

Guest explained that the production was already happening, with contracts signed, schedules cleared, and the writer's room set to start this month. The Season 2 premiere script had even been finished, and an outline for the season was in place. Guest expressed his passion for continuing the show, stating that everyone involved felt 'really good' about it.

The decision to cancel the series was made internally between Disney and Marvel, with Guest being unaware of the data behind it. He noted that numbers weren't shared with him, implying that the cancellation might be financially motivated rather than creative.
