Disney and Pixar Unveil Exciting New Films at D23 2026
Disney and Pixar unveiled an impressive lineup of upcoming films at the D23 2026 expo, featuring a mix of beloved franchises and fresh originals. Among the highlights are sequels to popular animated movies like Frozen 3, Incredibles 3, and Coco 2, along with the highly anticipated The Bluey Movie, which debuted its first teaser trailer showcasing a new CG animation style.
Fans of live-action adaptations got exciting updates as well. The live-action Tangled revealed its cast, including Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider, with a release date set for March 2028. Additionally, a sequel to the live-action Lilo & Stitch was announced, introducing Stitch’s love interest, Angel, and slated for a May 2028 release.
Pixar introduced several original films, including Ghost Market and Gatto, an animated adventure set in Venice directed by Enrico Casarosa. The studio also confirmed that Zootopia 3 is in early development, much to the delight of fans. Meanwhile, Disney revealed new details about Clay, an original feature set to hit theaters in 2028, and Hexed, with new cast additions like Walton Goggins and Jodie Foster.
Other notable announcements included Ice Age: Boiling Point, set for release on February 4, 2027, and Frozen 3, which teased a new villain whose powers could rival Elsa’s, with a November 2027 release date.
