Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort are both gearing up for extensive holiday celebrations from mid-November through early January. Disney World's festivities include specially ticketed after-hours events like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights, which feature exclusive entertainment, shorter wait times, and rare character meet-and-greets. Standard admission includes festive entertainment such as the Frozen Holiday Surprise at Magic Kingdom, the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, and holiday-themed ride overlays like the Jingle Cruise and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind playing holiday tunes.

Universal Orlando’s holiday season runs from November 14 through January 3, offering experiences like The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle projection show, Grinchmas character greetings, and the Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s with live performers and massive helium balloons. Both resorts feature elaborate decorations, holiday-themed entertainment, and festive dining options, making it a tough choice for visitors deciding between the two.

While Disney World has historically been popular with families, Universal also caters to younger visitors with kid-centered areas. Universal is known for its thrilling rides, but Disney World also offers high-speed attractions. Ultimately, the choice depends on personal preferences and the type of holiday experience one seeks.
