Disney Appoints Adam Smith as Chairman of Direct-to-Consumer Business
The Walt Disney Company has announced that Adam Smith will take on the role of Chairman for its Direct-to-Consumer business, effective immediately. In this position, Smith will oversee the company's global entertainment streaming platforms, including Disney+, Hulu, and emerging technologies.
Smith joined Disney in 2024 as Co-President, Direct-to-Consumer and Chief Product & Technology Officer for Disney Entertainment and ESPN. He has been instrumental in transforming the Company's direct-to-consumer business during his tenure.
Joe Earley will assume a new role as President of Disney Entertainment Television Franchise and Content Strategy. In this position, he will lead the strategic development of Disney's television franchises and maximize their value to engage audiences and drive the business forward.
