Disney Beats Austrian Concert Plotter's Damages Claim

An Austrian man convicted of planning to attack Taylor Swift's concert in Vienna has lost his bid for damages from Walt Disney, which had published his family's address in a documentary series.

The court sentenced Beran A., 21, to 15 years in jail after he admitted plotting the foiled jihadist attack on the Swift concert. His lawyer argued that the publication of their residential address endangered their personal sphere and security.

Judge Nicole Baczak dismissed the claim, saying a concrete endangerment was unsubstantiated. The disputed material had been removed from the documentary series in May after the complaint was received.
