Disney Brings Lakeshore Lodge to Life with 3D Street Mural in NYC
Disney is giving New Yorkers a taste of its upcoming Lakeshore Lodge resort through a vibrant 3D street mural in Flatiron Plaza. The installation, created by renowned street artist Tracy Lee Stum, brings to life the tranquil atmosphere of Daydream River, the resort's lazy river.
The mural serves as a preview for Disney's new resort, which was first announced in 2018 and had been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The property is now expected to open in 2024 with 967 rooms, including studios, suites, and Lake Houses along the waterfront.
Guests can visit the 3D mural from October 2nd to 5th at the corner of 23rd Street and 5th Avenue in Manhattan. Disney Vacation Club Members will have early access to reservations for the resort beginning October 6th, followed by Walt Disney World Annual Passholders on October 7th.
