Disney Brings Magic to North Carolina with Asteria Residential Community

The Walt Disney Company is expanding its presence in North Carolina with the development of Asteria, a residential community designed to bring the magic of Disney into everyday life. Located in Chatham Park, southwest of Raleigh, Asteria will feature approximately 4,000 homes, Disney-designed amenities, and 'cast members' providing the company's signature service.

Asteria is part of Storyliving by Disney, a collection of residential communities that aim to bring Disney's approach to storytelling, service, and placemaking into everyday community life. The community will be centered around the Second Star Club, a private club featuring storytelling elements created by Walt Disney Imagineering.

The club will include a large central gathering lawn called Aster Green, an event pavilion, a wellness center, and Longtable Lodge, a dedicated space for residents 55 and older. Recreational offerings are expected to include dart boards, ping-pong tables, and tabletop shuffleboard, as well as adults-only and family-friendly pools, playgrounds, and tennis and pickleball courts.

Asteria is being developed in collaboration with DMB Development and is envisioned as a community where residents can discover new experiences, build connections, and continue learning throughout their lives. Home sales are anticipated to begin in 2027, making Asteria the latest addition to Disney's growing presence in North Carolina.
