Disney Builds Secret Backstage Facility Amidst $15 Billion Expansion Plans
A new mystery building is under construction at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, situated behind the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in Adventureland.
The multi-story structure, which has a concrete tower core and steel framing, is located in the southwest backstage area of the park. According to aerial photography by @bioreconstruct on X, this building will serve as operational infrastructure for the upcoming Piston Peak National Park and Villains Land expansions.
Industry analysts believe that this facility will house modern break rooms, locker facilities, check-in stations, and offices for hundreds of new Cast Members. It could also serve as a distribution hub for the resort's costuming department and house ride-control rooms, maintenance shops, and technical storage facilities.
