Disney Cruise Line Introduces Storytelling Society for Upcoming Ships

Disney Cruise Line is expanding its immersive storytelling experience with the introduction of the Society of "Sea"kers, a group of adventurers and storytellers who explore beyond the horizon. The newest ship, Disney Believe, will feature two "sea"kers named Hugo and Beatrice. They join other "sea"kers on different ships, such as Zayah and Gamble on the Disney Destiny and Coriander and Sage on the Disney Treasure.

Hugo and Beatrice are part of an S.E.A.-like society, reminiscent of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers found in Disney theme park attractions. Their distinct outfits, Hugo in a red shirt, green vest, and plaid pants, and Beatrice in a white shirt, orange vest, red cape, and blue pants, add to the immersive experience. During a media cruise, the duo provided tips for completing scavenger hunts, encouraging guests to look at things differently and find answers in plain sight.

One scavenger hunt led to a beverage served in a small fishbowl-like glass with ice and a smoke bubble on top, hinting at a possible Frozen-themed venue on the ship. The Disney Believe, set to launch in 2027, is inspired by promise, possibility, and exploration. It will feature a Grand Hall with a Moana statue, Tinker Bell on the bow, and Buzz and Woody on the stern. The ship is currently being assembled at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany.

The Disney Believe is the fourth Wish-class ship, following the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. A fifth Wish-class ship will begin sailing out of Japan in 2029, and a class of smaller ships will launch in 2029 as well.
