Disney D23 Showcases Largest Ever Imagineering Pavilion

Disney recently showcased its largest-ever Walt Disney Imagineering pavilion at the D23 Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim. The preview gave fans a first look at several upcoming projects, including the Cars-themed Piston Peak National Park project coming to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom and the Avengers Tower-themed drop ride headed for Hong Kong Disneyland.

The pavilion also featured models for two projects at Disney California Adventure: the Avengers Campus expansion and the upcoming Avatar ride. The largest model was for the Cars-themed Piston Peak National Park project, which will be a major addition to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.

Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum and WDI President Bruce Vaughn were on hand to welcome fans and provide insight into the projects. Fans can learn more about what WDI has planned for Disney's theme parks around the world Saturday night at the Disney Experiences Showcase.
