Disney expands Turkish drama lineup with Eccho Rights deal
The Walt Disney Company has expanded its partnership with Eccho Rights, a Scandinavia-based distributor, by acquiring two Turkish drama series. The deal includes Golden Boy (originally titled Yalı Çapkını), which will air on Star Life in Portugal, and My Home My Destiny (originally Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir), which will be available on Disney+ across the MENA region.
Golden Boy, produced by OGM Pictures for Star TV, centers around a reckless young heir whose life changes dramatically due to an arranged marriage. My Home My Destiny, also produced by OGM Pictures for TV8, follows a different narrative but is similarly compelling.
This agreement builds on the existing relationship between Eccho Rights and Disney, which was established earlier this year when Star Life Portugal acquired the romantic comedies Everywhere I Go and My Sweet Lie. The new deals further solidify Disney's investment in international content, particularly from Turkish producers.
