Disney Intern Struck by Lightning in Florida: Community Mourns Loss

A 20-year-old Disney College Program intern has died after being struck by lightning in Osceola County, Florida.

The victim, Matthew Jenkins, had just moved to the area and was excited about his new opportunity to explore his future at Walt Disney World.

'He cared so deeply for everyone around him,' said Blake Jahn, a friend of Jenkins from high school. 'When he opened up to you, you knew him more than anybody else.'

The Disney company released a statement saying that Jenkins would always be remembered as part of their community.
