Disney Legend Joe Rohde Brings 'Floating Mountains' to Castle Green

Disney Legend Joe Rohde is bringing his latest project to Castle Green in Pasadena on September 14. The evening event features Rohde presenting his book, Floating Mountains: The Art of Imagining the Impossible, which explores where creativity comes from and how teams turn ideas into finished work.

Rohde spent four decades at Walt Disney Imagineering, leading the design of Disney's Animal Kingdom. He retired on January 4, 2021, after more than 40 years with the company. Rohde was named a Disney Legend in 2024 and has a bachelor's degree in studio art from Occidental College.

The event is ticketed, and admission includes one copy of the book. The program will be repeated on September 15 at the same address. Nearby parking is available at the School House Parking Structure and Del Mar Station Parking.
