Disney Overhauls Merchandise Shipping Policy with New Bag-Sized Pricing

Walt Disney World has revamped its merchandise shipping policy to make it more cost-effective for guests. The old system, which charged based on the total value of items being sent, could become expensive, especially when the value exceeded $500.

The new system uses Ricoh as a third-party shipping provider and charges per bag size rather than item value. Bag sizes range from extra-small ($19.97) to large ($49.97), with separate clear bags for custom or international shipments.

Each shipping rate includes insurance coverage up to $100 in declared value at no additional cost, with optional additional coverage available for more valuable items.
