Disney Removes Construction Walls from Magic Kingdom Walkway Refurb

The Walt Disney World Resort has quietly wrapped up an unannounced refurbishment project at Magic Kingdom Park. The construction, which began in late July, involved repaving a walkway leading to the Crystal Palace restaurant and adding new railings.

Despite going unpublicized by Disney, the project was noticeable to visitors as it transformed the area with freshly paved pavement and wider pathways. However, what the renovated space will be used for remains unclear, with speculation ranging from additional stroller parking to a waiting area for families waiting to be seated at the Crystal Palace.

As of September 28, construction walls have been removed from the area, but rolling planters still block access to the resurfaced patch. The Crystal Palace restaurant itself has remained open throughout the project and continues to accept reservations.
