Disney Reveals Monstropolis Dining Details for Hollywood Studios Land
Disney has unveiled new details about the food and beverage offerings for Monstropolis, the upcoming Monsters, Inc.-inspired land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Scheduled to open in 2027, the area will feature two dining locations: Harryhausen’s and Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza. The culinary teams are collaborating with Walt Disney Imagineering to create menus that blend familiar foods with monster-themed twists, drawing inspiration from the films Monsters, Inc. and Monsters University.
Harryhausen’s will be a table-service restaurant showcasing an Audio-Animatronic head sushi chef. The menu will include sushi, ramen bowls with tonkotsu broth, and creative touches like fishcake eyeballs and green eggs. Designed as an upscale dining destination, the restaurant aims to appeal to a wide range of ages while staying true to the films’ aesthetic.
Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza will offer quick-service pizza, inspired by the college-life setting of Monsters University. A mystery character from the film will also make an appearance. The beverage menu will feature Blort, a purple frozen drink topped with “scream apple” foam, a nod to Monstropolis’ food culture.
While final menus, pricing, and an exact opening date are yet to be announced, Disney has emphasized the importance of translating the films’ visual details into approachable and recognizable dishes. Additional information about Monstropolis is expected before its 2027 debut.
