Disney Sued by Former Child Star Over Alleged Sexual Assault

Former child star Raquel Lee Bolleau is suing The Walt Disney Company over allegations of sexual assault. Bolleau, now 39 years old, claims she was assaulted by a now-former Disney employee during filming for Disney Channel movie The Poof Point when she was just 14 years old.

As reported by People magazine, Bolleau has made claim in a civil negligence lawsuit against Disney. Her attorneys, Douglas Wigdor and Jane Kim, stated that 'this conduct is inexcusable, and those involved, directly or indirectly, must be held accountable.'

Bolleau alleges the unnamed male employee gave her alcohol and assaulted her multiple times while the cast and crew were in Salt Lake City, as well as on the flight back to California. She claims Disney didn't do enough to protect her, alleging she was told to 'bond' with the employee and was separated from her guardian on set without sufficient supervision.

Bolleau has claimed that no one at Disney intervened, despite other adults working on the movie noticing how her behavior and performance had changed. She alleges that Disney didn't investigate the situation, and instead blamed her for being 'out of control.'
