Disney Sweeps Emmy Awards with 22 Trophies
The Walt Disney Company had a remarkable weekend at the Emmy Awards ceremonies. The company swept the 4th Annual Children's and Family Emmy Awards, taking home an impressive 22 trophies.
This was the most wins of any company in the industry, with Disney receiving 103 nominations across 52 competitive categories.
The two biggest winners were Descendants: The Rise of Red and Win or Lose. Descendants took home five awards for Outstanding Fiction Special, Art Direction and Set Decoration, Hairstyling and Makeup, Original Song, and Choreography.
Win or Lose, an animated series from Pixar, also won five awards, including Outstanding Children's or Young Teen Animated Series, Writing for an Animated Series, Directing for an Animated Series, Editing for an Animated Series, and Individual Achievement in Animation.
