Disney Teams with Creator-Led Studio for Original Content Push
The Walt Disney Company has formed an original content partnership with Dhar Mann Studios, marking a significant expansion of Disney's creator-led and short-form programming efforts.
Under the agreement, Dhar Mann Studios will produce 20 episodes for Disney, targeting children, tweens, teenagers, and families. The format, length, and distribution of the programming remain undisclosed at this time.
Dhar Mann Studios has built a substantial global audience through its scripted message-led dramas distributed on YouTube and social platforms, boasting over 170 million followers and nearly 300 million weekly views across platforms. Its main YouTube channel has 28 million subscribers.
Disney's Chief Marketing and Brand Officer Asad Ayaz and Disney Entertainment Television Chairman Debra OConnell praised Dhar Mann's distinctive voice and massive global following in a joint statement, emphasizing the potential for his optimistic storytelling to connect with Disney fans.
