Disney Unites Top Creators for Historic 'Created in LA' Event
The Walt Disney Company hosted its first 'Created in LA' event, bringing together over 350 creators from around the world. The two-day event kicked off on September 17 at the historic El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California, with a red carpet premiere of creator videos.
The event was designed to bring creators together to share their creative processes and encourage collaboration. Disney teamed up with creator Jon Youshaei to make it happen. The first video screened was 'The Technoblade Movie' created by brothers Lucas Nicotra and Curtis Nicotra, also known as the filmmaking duo Sticks.
The event continued at The Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California, with a slate of creators and executives giving their insights into the creator economy. CEO Josh D'Amaro spoke about the importance of embracing new storytellers and pushing boundaries.
