Walt Disney World has given an inside look at its training facility, Disney University. The university serves as the primary orientation facility for the resort's 80,000 cast members. Incoming workers start in the Traditions room, surrounded by Disney history, where they receive instruction on company culture and core values before advancing to job-specific training.

Job-specific instruction at Disney University covers a wide range of operational roles across the resort. Housekeepers receive training to prepare beds according to specific Disney standards, while concierge staff participate in hands-on practice scenarios. The resort also supports its cast members through a specialized costuming operation, which serves as the largest functional wardrobe in the world.

Securing a role at the resort is competitive, with more than 300 individuals submitting job applications each day. Many employees enter the company in hourly positions with opportunities to build long-term careers. Walt Disney World plans to create 5,000 new positions over the next five years.
