Disney Unveils Exciting New Attractions and Lands Coming to Its Theme Parks

Disney fans got an early look at some of the exciting new attractions and lands coming to its theme parks around the world during the D23 fan expo in Anaheim. The Horizons: A Carousel of Progress showcase, hosted by Walt Disney Imagineering, offered a sneak peek into the future of Disney's theme park experiences.

The event featured live updates from Disney's theme parks showcase throughout the Saturday night event, with details on new attractions currently under construction and in development. One of the main highlights was the announcement of two new rides for Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure: the Avengers Infinity Defense dark ride and Stark Flight Lab thrill ride.

The Coco boat ride in Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure will also feature a backstory that picks up a year after the original animated film, with memories central to the story. The Imagineering: Horizons pavilion on the D23 show floor featured a scale model of the Avengers Campus expansion and a maquette of the Stark Flight Lab ride vehicle.

In other news, Disneyland will take a nostalgic trip down memory lane in 2027 with a throwback entertainment lineup, including the return of classic shows like 'Remember… Dreams Come True' fireworks and 'World of Color' water show. Space Mountain: From the Earth to the Moon ride overlay is set to open at Disneyland Paris in 2027, while Tokyo Disneyland will get an indoor roller coaster called Space Mountain Earthrise.
