Disney Unveils Major Updates for Parks and Cruise Line
The D23 Disney Experiences Showcase at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California is taking place on August 16, 2026. The event is covering all major news from Disney Parks, including Walt Disney World and Disneyland, as well as Disney Cruise Line and more.
One of the biggest announcements was for Avengers Infinity Defense at Avengers Campus at Disneyland's Disney California Adventure. This upcoming attraction will star some of the biggest names in the MCU, including Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth's Thor, Anthony Mackie's Captain America, Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye, and Iman Vellani's Ms. Marvel.
The Avengers Infinity Defense is set to open in 2028 and will see guests helping reasssemble the Avengers to battle King Thanos. The attraction will be a major addition to the Disneyland experience and is sure to bring in crowds of fans from around the world.
Another announcement was made for the Horizons: A Carousel of Progress attraction, which has arrived with host Neil Patrick Harris. Alongside a glimpse of the new scenes set in the 1980s, it was revealed that Disney Legend Jamie Lee Curtis and Emmy-winning actor Bryan Cranston will be joining the cast as the new version of the attraction's Mom and Dad.
The Yeti Audio-Animatronic is also coming back to life at Animal Kingdom's Expedition Everest. Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum revealed that the team is 'bringing the Yeti back to life inside Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom!'
