Disney World Holiday Traditions Shine Bright This Season
Christmas at Walt Disney World is a treat for the whole family, and there are plenty of holiday traditions worth planning your trip around. One of the most iconic events is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom. This separately ticketed event takes over the park on select nights with festive entertainment, complimentary cookies and beverages, and a special parade and fireworks display.
Another highlight is Disney Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios, which transforms the park into an old-Hollywood glamour holiday party. The event features specialty food and merchandise, live entertainment, and appearances by the Muppets on stage.
In addition to these events, there are several other holiday traditions worth experiencing during your visit. At EPCOT's Spaceship Earth, you can enjoy a special lighting display featuring programmable LED fixtures that change throughout the evening. You can also catch a holiday overlay of the Living with the Land boat ride, which features twinkling lights and Hidden Mickeys.
For those looking for a more relaxed holiday experience, consider spending the day at Wilderness Lodge. The resort's lobby is decked out in festive decorations, including an enormous Christmas tree and garland, while the electrical water pageant on Bay Lake offers a magical evening display.
