Disney World Railroad Closes for Renovations this Fall
The Walt Disney World Railroad is set to close temporarily this fall as part of ongoing construction at Magic Kingdom. According to Disney's calendar, the railroad will be closed from September 28, 2026, until the end of October. This closure marks the second recent change in the railroad's service, having previously been operating on a modified loop between Main Street, U.S.A. Station and Fantasyland Station due to construction at the Frontierland Station.
The temporary closure is attributed to work on Piston Peak National Park, the new Cars-inspired area coming to Magic Kingdom. While an exact reopening date has not yet been provided by Disney, the railroad is expected to resume its normal service in late October.
