Disney World Weather Warning: Heat and Storms Return This Week

Walt Disney World guests enjoyed a brief respite from Florida's hot weather over the past few days, but that relief won't last. A changing forecast indicates rising temperatures and increasing rain chances are headed back to Central Florida this week.

The National Weather Service predicts heat index values will soar into the low 100s by Friday, making outdoor time at the parks uncomfortable for guests. Additionally, afternoon storms and thunderstorms will become more frequent throughout the day, posing a challenge to park plans.

Rain chances range from 20% to 50% on Wednesday, increasing to 40% to 60% on Thursday, and peaking at 50% to 70% by Friday. Temperatures are expected to reach the upper 80s and low 90s during the afternoons, while humidity makes it feel even hotter.

Disney World guests should prepare for potential disruptions caused by thunderstorms, which can bring lightning, gusty winds, and heavy rain. This may impact outdoor rides and entertainment at all four theme parks, especially those with outdoor experiences like Disney's Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom.
