Disney World's Peter Pan Flight Temporarily Grounded

Disney World's Magic Kingdom theme park in Florida experienced an unexpected closure of its popular Peter Pan's Flight ride on September 21. The attraction, which typically has long lines, was closed around noon and remained shut until mid-afternoon on the 22nd. According to wdwmagic.com, this was not a scheduled repair or refurbishment.

The last time the ride was closed for maintenance was in July and August of 2024. Disney hasn't revealed what caused the sudden closure, leaving fans wondering if it might have been due to a lack of Tinker Bell's fairy dust.

Peter Pan's Flight is one of the oldest rides in the park, inspired by Walt Disney's 1953 animated classic and first opening at Disneyland in California in 1955. The ride has remained operational since Disney World's grand opening on October 1, 1971, with the original version still in use today.
