Visa Study Reveals Stablecoin Interest Skyrockets With Banking Protections
A recent Visa study found that interest in stablecoins among U.S. consumers increases significantly when digital dollars are offered with familiar banking protections.
The survey of 2,192 U.S. adults conducted between February 24 and March 2 revealed that the share of Americans willing to use stablecoins rises from 36% to 56% when they are offered fraud protection and deposit insurance comparable to traditional banking products.
The study, which was based on a Morning Consult survey, also found that trust in the company providing the service matters more than the payment technology itself. In fact, 64% of respondents believed that the company providing the service is more important than the technology used.
