Disney World's Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Undergoes Extensive Refurbishment

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios is currently undergoing exterior refurbishment. The project began in March when Walt Disney World Resort filed a construction permit for the attraction.

Scaffolding first appeared on the building's facade in July, initially covering just the gift shop area. Over the following two months, the scaffolding spread towards the front of the building and climbed up the Hollywood Tower Hotel facade.

The work appears centered on repainting the exterior of the building. As construction has progressed, guests have noticed fresh pink paint replacing the older, weathered coat.

WDWMagic reported on September 15 that scaffolding had been extended to the back of the Hollywood Tower Hotel, covering the entire facade with construction materials.
