Disneyland's 70th Anniversary Celebration Ends, But Two Beloved Nighttime Spectaculars Stick Around

The Disneyland Resort is ending its 70th anniversary celebration on August 9, 2026. This marks the conclusion of various limited-time entertainment offerings and fan-favorite nighttime spectaculars.

Two such productions are Paint the Night parade and Wondrous Journeys fireworks show, both of which made their return as part of the 70th anniversary party. Paint the Night is a next-generation take on the park's former Main Street Electrical Parade, while Wondrous Journeys features every movie Walt Disney Animation Studios has ever made.

The final day to see these productions will be August 20, 2026, with showtimes for Paint the Night at 8:45 PM and 10:45 PM nightly and Wondrous Journeys at 9:35 PM nightly. Note that Wondrous Journeys will feature fireworks for its remainder of its run.

The decision to keep these productions for a few more days was made so that guests traveling into town for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, happening August 14-16 at the nearby Anaheim Convention Center and Honda Center, could enjoy them as part of their visit.
