Disney's Lakeshore Lodge Makes Waves in New York City
The highly anticipated Disney's Lakeshore Lodge is set to make its debut at Walt Disney World in 2027, and to celebrate, a special activation has been brought to life in New York City.
A large-scale 3D street mural, located at the corner of 23rd Street and 5th Avenue in Manhattan, showcases the hotel's signature lazy river experience. The artwork was created by acclaimed American muralist Tracy Lee Stum, who holds a Guinness World Record for the largest chalk painting by an individual.
The mural is inspired by the Daydream River at Disney's Lakeshore Lodge and invites passersby to step into the eye-catching image for photos and videos. The resort, set to open on July 1, 2027, will feature 967 rooms with natural materials, earthly color palettes, and original artwork from classic Disney films.
Guests can book their stay at Disney's Lakeshore Lodge starting in October, with early reservations available for Disney Vacation Club members and Walt Disney World Annual Passholders. Those looking to book can contact Member Services or Mouse Fan Travel for assistance.
