Disney's Lakeshore Lodge Takes Shape at Walt Disney World Resort
Work is ongoing at Walt Disney World Resort on Disney's Lakeshore Lodge, a new resort inspired by nature. When completed, it will feature various spaces for guests to enjoy, including places to watch fireworks and dine. The lobby will be designed with floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the Wetlands outdoor recreation area, immersing guests in the sights and sounds of nature.
The design draws inspiration from Walt Disney Animation Studios' Pocahontas, featuring a shimmering fiberoptic river illuminating the floor, above which hangs a blown glass Colors of the Wind sculpture with hundreds of suspended glass leaves. The lobby will utilize natural materials and custom tapestries inspired by the film's landscapes.
There are three distinct dining experiences: Moonglade, Bay Lake Provisions, and Paint Out Point Bar & Grill. Each offers something unique, from waterfront dining to specialty beverages and shareable bites. Dandelion Terrace is a lounge where guests can watch fireworks over Bay Lake, surrounded by archival artwork from Disney classics.
