Disney's Skyliner Gondola System to Close for Annual Maintenance in Late January 2027

The Disney Skyliner gondola system will be closed for maintenance from January 24 to 30, 2027. This annual shutdown affects four Walt Disney World resorts: Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera.

During the closure, complimentary bus service will be provided between these resorts and EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. However, this means that guests who specifically booked one of these hotels for the Skyliner convenience may want to reconsider their plans.

The Skyliner's maintenance schedule is not unusual, as Disney typically chooses quiet periods like late January when fewer people are visiting the park. This allows for essential work on the system without disrupting large crowds.
