Disney's Slinky Dog Dash Hit by Repeated Closures Amid Unexplained Downtime

The popular Walt Disney World attraction Slinky Dog Dash has been experiencing repeated intermittent closures since August 31, leaving guests frustrated and without explanation from Disney.

According to multiple online reports, the ride was down on August 26, 29, and 30, with some guests commenting that it hadn't been fully operational since August 30. The Walt Disney World app also shows that the ride is currently closed on September 2.

The issues may have started as early as August 21, when the ride alternated between open and closed throughout the day before becoming fully operational in the evening. Weather could be a contributing factor, as Slinky Dog Dash closes for storms due to its outdoor location.

Disney guests who had Lightning Lane reservations for Slinky Dog Dash have been automatically converted to Multiple Experience Passes, which can be used on other popular attractions when the ride reopens.
