Disney's Spooky Skeletons Get a Halloween Merchandise Revival
Disney has announced a new Halloween merchandise collection inspired by one of its earliest animated shorts, The Skeleton Dance. Released in 1929 as part of Walt Disney's Silly Symphonies series, the short features four skeletons emerging from their graves for a nighttime dance.
The new collection launches on August 31 at the Disney Store and select items are already available at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Apparel, Harveys bags, and home décor are all included in the lineup, featuring imagery inspired by the original Silly Symphony.
For those who want to relive the magic of The Skeleton Dance, there's also a Disney Store Exclusive Light-Up Figure that recreates one of the short's skeletons perched atop a tombstone. Each item in the collection combines vintage and modern elements, making it perfect for fans of classic Disney animation.
